Oi amigos!, hello everybody, salut à tous, captain Jean-yves speaking, ... je retourne le 3 février en Martinique , chantier naval du Marin ou m'attend la "belle" .... then she should sail towards Trinidad Tobago where she will be sandblasted and freshly painted ... .... .... rappel / reminder : en France, j'utilise maintenant lat4848@orange.fr , et en voyage : voiliersyzygie@yahoo.fr... kenavo...........................................................................
In october 2004, Syzygie had been repaired in Diego Suarez, Madagascar, after being ashore in Mayotte during cyclone "Gafilo" in march 2004 and suffering on her "hips"... but she is a strong iron lady!... then, she spent the tsunami + cyclone season in the Seychelles (not too many problems there) and came back to Diego end of march 2005... in april we sailed to Nosy bé ... in october 2005, she sailed to Kilifi, Kenya, and down to Zanzibar in february 2006 and again to Tanzania in march, april 2007... in October 2008, she sailed down to Durban, after stopping in Ilha Mozambique, Maputo ...

                                                   THE BOAT
Syzygie is a 13 meter ketch, steel hull, built in France in 1977... simple in her conception, roomy and airy inside, she is a strong and fast sailing boat... she is equipped with a 40 hp engine, long distance SSB radio transmitter, radar, offshore safety equipment, scuba gear and compressor... the 2 cabins and the saloon provide 8 berths... in the past 33 years, she has logged  some 110 000 miles between Europe and Asia...

                                                   CONDITIONS
on the voyage, you will be able to share all activities on board, from sailhandling and watchkeeping to cooking and navigation... previous experience is not necessary ... by the way, the syzygie (or syzygy in english) means three heavenly bodies in line, like moon, sun and earth during full and new moons, and by extension sea, wind and boat in harmony...
for a passage (around one month) , 3 of you maximum on board... 6 of you  maximum for coastal cruising (less than 2 weeks).
for a passage, I ask you a participation of  30 € per day , plus food and other consumables (usually no more than 10 $ per day)... for coastal cruising, 50 € per day, plus food and consumables.
